This application links serial ports in a Macintosh. It makes chance to access internal modem of PowerBook through printer port. PowerBook will work as an external modem. (It's really expensive external modem)
You can use StyleWriter cable to connect PowerBook to other Mac.
( Modem cable will not work in this case. Use printer cable! )
Under MultiFinder or System 7, PortLinker can work at background.
Who needs PortLinker?
If you don't have any other modems except PowerBook internal modem(Or, if the internal modem in your PowerBook is faster then others), you can use PowerBook modem to other Macintosh or non-Macintosh computers.
PowerBook is not enough for you???
No, PowerBook is usually enough to any kinds of work. But, you can't run some 020-requiring application, like MacX and Mathematica, in PowerBook 100 and you can't see color graphics in non-color PowerBooks. It's the reason why I made this program.
